Pete Myers, chief scientist at Environmental Health Sciences, which publishes EHN.org, breaks down the “Health Scientists’ Global Plastic Treaty” — a plan released today to encourage world leaders to put human health at the center of global plastic treaty negotiations taking place this week in Nairobi, Kenya.
More than 20 international scientists put forth the plan this week as negotiators from about 175 countries — along with industry representatives, environmentalists and others — meet through Nov. 19 in Nairobi to advance a treaty to end global plastic pollution.
