April 2026: The newly expanded second edition of Tree Damage Caused by Radiofrequency Radiation has now been translated into English, making over two decades of observations and field research accessible to a broader audience. This comprehensive 300 page volume documents patterns of tree damage associated with years of exposure to wireless radiofrequency (RF) radiation from cell towers and mobile phone (cellular) base station antennas.

The authors  visited over 1,500 mobile phone base stations and found evidence of RF radiation-related tree damage near every mobile phone base station they visited.

Key Findings: Tree Damage Near Cell Towers and Base Stations

The 300 page book includes extensive photographic documentation of trees observed over many years, particularly those located in the direct line of sight of cell antennas. These images illustrate progressive damage over time, often beginning with one-sided crown deterioration on the side facing the highest RF radiation exposure and, in some cases, leading to the eventual felling of the trees.

RF Radiation Measurements and Correlation With Tree Damage

One-Sided Crown Damage and Line-of-Sight Exposure to Antennas

In addition, the authors conducted RF radiation measurements and found that levels were highest on the side of the trees exhibiting the most damage- the side facing the nearby cell antenna. They also found the measured power density levels of RF have significantly increased since 2021 due to the expansion of networks and updating of sites in many cities.  In other words, environmental levels of RF are increasing.

The book features a section summarizing extensive research in the field, including translated archival newspaper articles that highlight early warnings and historical observations related to these environmental changes.
