We Push For Transparency on U.S. Government Wireless & EMF Activities
The Wireless and EMF Program at Environmental Health Sciences aims to advance scientific understanding regarding the health and environmental risks of cell towers, wireless, and non-ionizing electromagnetic fields in order to support science-based policy changes and promote innovative solutions for a safer technology future.
Our Program Director, Theodora Scarato, has filed over 300 Freedom of Information (FOIA) requests to U.S. agencies, including the FDA, CDC, NIH, and FCC. Our latest investigations examine how agencies oversee cell phone safety, cell tower compliance, and transparency in testing, revealing critical gaps in how cell phone and cell tower health risks are assessed and disclosed to the public. We expose where regulators fall short and how safety data is withheld. All in all, the documents show that the U.S. government has failed to protect the people from cell phone and cell tower radiation risks. Here are a few of our findings.
